Product Highlights
Off-Grid Solar Power — The Defining Feature
Every other electric sauna in this catalog requires a dedicated 240V grid electrical connection — a licensed electrician, a conduit run to the installation site, and ongoing grid power draw for every session. The Solaris eliminates that requirement: integrated solar panels charge an onboard battery pack that powers the 3kW KIP heater. It is the functionally correct choice for large properties where running electrical to the site is expensive or impractical, for lakehouse and cabin properties without grid power at the site, and for buyers who want their sauna to run on zero grid energy.
3kW KIP Heater with WiFi
The Solaris uses the 3kW KIP heater — a compact electric sauna heater designed for low-energy operation. At 3kW it draws significantly less power than the 8–9kW heaters in grid-powered models, which is what makes solar-powered operation viable: the solar panel and battery system are sized to power a 3kW load through a session in a well-insulated enclosure. The KIP includes WiFi control via smartphone for remote preheating — standard on both size configurations.
Tile Oak Interior and Exterior
The Solaris is finished in Tile Oak — an oak-look tile cladding on both the interior walls and exterior surfaces rather than traditional wood plank construction. On the exterior, tile cladding is UV-resistant and weather-resistant without maintenance: tile does not grey, does not require oiling, and does not absorb moisture. On the interior, tile surfaces wipe down after a session, with no wood grain to trap moisture or require conditioning — a distinctly modern European finish.
Solar-Tinted Panoramic Glass Wall
The Solaris features a panoramic glass wall with solar tinting — a full-face glass panel that fills the interior with natural light while the tint provides privacy from outside and reduces heat gain through the glass. From the bench you get a view of the landscape, sky, or garden, while the interior remains a private space.
Pre-Assembled Delivery
The Solaris arrives pre-assembled — a practical advantage for an off-grid installation. On a lakehouse property, a remote lot, or any site where coordinating on-site assembly labor is difficult, the sauna arrives ready to position rather than requiring an assembly crew on location. Site preparation is reduced to a level surface: the sauna is placed, the solar panels are oriented, and the system is operational.
Designed and Crafted in Finland
The Solaris is designed and manufactured in Finland — the country with the highest per-capita sauna density in the world and the longest tradition of sauna engineering. That heritage shows in the specification: efficient heater output, effective insulation, and an enclosure designed for genuine, regular use.
Two Sizes
The Solaris is available in Small (2–3 person, 86" × 60" × 97") and Medium (4–5 person, 86" × 86" × 97"). Both use the same 3kW KIP WiFi heater and the same solar panel and battery system — the difference is footprint and seating capacity. The Small fits tighter installation sites; the Medium accommodates a small group. Both sizes are available at the listed price — confirm your preferred size at the time of purchase.

Important Information
Size selection: Small (2–3 person) or Medium (4–5 person) must be confirmed at purchase. Both sizes are available at $66,645.
Solar exposure: the solar panels require adequate sun exposure for effective charging — the installation site should have clear southern (or otherwise optimal) exposure without significant shading. Discuss your site with us before ordering. The battery pack stores solar energy to power sessions independent of real-time solar conditions; contact us for battery capacity, typical session duration per charge, and recommendations for your climate and usage pattern.
Site and delivery: no grid electrical connection is required — the Solaris operates entirely on solar power, with no 240V circuit or electrician needed for the heater. A level, solid surface (concrete pad or equivalent) is required for placement, and site preparation is not included. The sauna is delivered pre-assembled by freight, so confirm delivery vehicle access to your site before ordering. A permanent outdoor structure may require a building permit depending on local regulations; verify before ordering. Free shipping applies; orders are typically processed and shipped within 2–10 business days, and a tracking number is emailed once shipped, active within 24 hours. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Solaris require any electrical connection at all?
No — the Solaris operates entirely on solar power via integrated solar panels and a battery pack. No grid electrical connection, licensed electrician, or conduit run is required. This is the feature that defines the Solaris and differentiates it from every other electric sauna in this catalog.
What happens on cloudy days or in winter when solar output is reduced?
The battery pack stores solar energy to power sessions independent of real-time solar conditions. Contact us for specific battery capacity, typical session duration per charge, and recommendations for your climate and usage pattern before ordering.
What size should I choose?
The Small (86" × 60" × 97") seats 2–3 people and fits tighter installation sites. The Medium (86" × 86" × 97") seats 4–5 people and is proportioned for a small group. Both use the same heater and solar system, and both are $66,645. Confirm your size at purchase.
How does the Solaris compare to the Fortis and Vue?
The Fortis and Vue both require a dedicated 240V grid electrical connection and use 9kW Harvia heaters. The Solaris is fully solar-powered with a 3kW KIP heater — no grid connection required. The Solaris is the choice when off-grid operation is the priority; the Fortis and Vue are the choices when grid power is available and heater output or specific interior finishes are the priority.
Is the Tile Oak finish actually tile or wood?
Tile Oak is a tile cladding with an oak aesthetic — on both the interior and exterior of the Solaris. It is a modern European finish that prioritizes easy maintenance and weather resistance over traditional wood plank sauna construction. Interior surfaces wipe clean; exterior surfaces do not require oiling or treatment.
The Thermasol Solaris is the outdoor sauna that goes where electrical cannot — or should not. Solar-powered, pre-assembled, crafted in Finland, and finished in Tile Oak. At $66,645 with free shipping, it is the sauna the rest of the market has not built yet.
