The Pioneer 5-Person Hot Tub is a compact spa that seats 5 adults in a 71" x 79" x 34" footprint (approximately 6' x 7') — small enough for urban decks, smaller backyards, and vacation properties where a full-size spa will not fit, while still fitting two deep captain's chairs with jets positioned for the back, shoulders, and lumbar area, plus three bench seats. It is available in three series tiers — Value (24 jets, 1 pump), Great (30 jets, 1 pump, touchscreen controls), and Extreme (40 jets + 2 volcano floor jets, 2 pumps, full touchscreen) — and in 110V plug-and-play or 220V hardwired power configurations. Choose your series based on jet count and control preferences; choose your voltage based on your outdoor electrical infrastructure.
Why Customers Choose This Product
- 2 deep captain's chairs — contoured seats with jets positioned for the back, shoulders, and lumbar area — plus 3 bench seats
- Compact 6' x 7' footprint — fits smaller decks, patios, and outdoor spaces where larger spas will not fit; 300-gallon capacity is easier to heat and maintain than larger tubs
- Three series tiers — choose the jet count, pump power, control interface, and lighting package that matches your needs and budget
- 110V or 220V options — 110V installs on a standard GFCI outdoor outlet with no electrician; 220V provides more pump power headroom for the Extreme series

- Step-in entry with a spacious footwell — comfortable access, with room for legs and feet
Product Highlights
Two Captain's Chairs + Three Bench Seats
The seating layout pairs two deep, contoured captain's chairs — with jets positioned for the back, shoulders, and lumbar area — with three bench seats for flexible group seating. The dual format works for focused soaking in the captain's chairs and social soaking on the benches, in the same session.
Series Tiers: Value, Great, Extreme
Value offers 24 jets, 1 pump, Gecko in.k300 button controls, and a single LED spa light. Great steps up to 30 jets, the Gecko in.k506 touchscreen, and mini LED accent lighting. Extreme offers 40 jets plus 2 volcano floor jets, 2 pumps, the Gecko in.k1000 touchscreen, and a full-spectrum LED package. The second pump in the Extreme series allows independent control of jet zones and maintains stronger jet pressure when multiple zones run simultaneously.
Volcano Floor Jets (Extreme Series)
Exclusive to the Extreme series, two volcano floor jets are upward-facing jets in the footwell that push water upward against the soles of the feet and lower legs — a different jet position from the directional jets at the seats, and not present in the Value or Great series.
Compact 6' x 7' Footprint
At 71" x 79" x 34" with a 300-gallon capacity, the Pioneer fits on smaller decks, patios, and urban outdoor spaces where a 7' x 7' or 8' spa will not. The 300-gallon capacity is also easier to heat and maintain than larger tubs.
110V or 220V Power
The 110V configuration is plug-and-play on a standard GFCI-protected outdoor outlet — well suited to renters, vacation homes, and first-time spa owners. The 220V configuration requires a dedicated 220V/240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician, heats faster, and gives the Extreme series' dual pumps more headroom. Choose both options carefully: the series determines jet count, pump count, controls, and lighting, and the power configuration cannot be changed after purchase.

Ideal For
- Families or couples who want 5-person spa capacity in a 6' x 7' footprint that fits smaller decks, patios, and urban outdoor spaces
- Those who want captain's chair seating alongside bench seats, so focused soaking and social soaking work in the same tub
- Buyers who want to choose their jet count and control tier (Value / Great / Extreme) rather than buying a fixed-spec spa
- 110V buyers who want plug-and-play spa installation without an electrician or dedicated circuit
- Vacation homes, guest houses, and second properties where a compact, 300-gallon spa is more practical than a large tub
Important Information
Choose both options carefully before ordering. The Model Series determines jet count, pump count, controls, and lighting. Power determines the electrical requirements: 110V is plug-and-play on a standard GFCI outdoor outlet; 220V requires a dedicated 220V/240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician (electrician install cost typically $300–$800+ depending on location). The power configuration cannot be changed after purchase.
Site preparation: at 3,200 lbs filled, the Pioneer requires a structurally adequate surface before delivery — a reinforced concrete pad (minimum 4" thick, ideally 6") or a purpose-built deck engineered to support the filled weight. Do not place it on a standard wooden deck without first confirming the deck's load rating with a contractor. Ensure the location has level ground, electrical access at the correct voltage, and sufficient clearance for the access panel (typically 3+ feet on at least one side for maintenance access).
Water care: test water chemistry 2–3 times per week using a test strip or digital tester, maintaining pH between 7.4–7.6, alkalinity between 80–120 ppm, and sanitizer (chlorine or bromine) at recommended levels. Shock the water weekly or after heavy use. Clean or replace the filter cartridge monthly. Drain and refill every 3–4 months, and clean the shell and waterline with a spa-safe non-abrasive cleaner during each drain cycle. During extended non-use periods, either winterize the tub properly or maintain a frost-protection temperature setting — never allow water to freeze in the jets, pipes, or pumps. Wipe the cover with a vinyl protectant periodically to prevent UV degradation and cracking.
Delivery: free shipping on this item. Orders are typically processed and shipped within 2–10 business days, with Economy (5–15 business days) or Standard (3–14 business days) delivery at checkout. A tracking number is emailed once shipped and is active within 24 hours. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which series is right for me — Value, Great, or Extreme?
Choose Value for 24 jets, 1 pump, and Gecko in.k300 button controls at the most accessible price. Choose Great for 30 jets, the Gecko in.k506 touchscreen, and mini LED accent lighting. Choose Extreme for 40 jets plus 2 volcano floor jets, a second pump for independent zone control, the Gecko in.k1000 touchscreen, and the full-spectrum LED lighting package.
What does 110V vs. 220V mean for installation?
110V is plug-and-play — connect to any standard GFCI-protected outdoor outlet and the spa is operational, with no electrician required. 220V requires a dedicated 220V/240V hardwired circuit installed by a licensed electrician before delivery; it heats faster and provides better performance headroom for the Extreme series' dual pumps. Choose 110V for simplicity and no electrical install cost; choose 220V for faster heat-up and maximum performance, particularly with the Extreme series.
What surface does the hot tub need to sit on?
The filled weight of 3,200 lbs requires a reinforced concrete pad (minimum 4" thick, ideally 6") or a purpose-built deck engineered for the load. Do not place the tub on a standard deck without confirming the deck's load rating with a licensed contractor. A level surface is required for proper water level, cover fit, and long-term equipment performance. Contact us before ordering if you have questions about site preparation for your installation location.
What are the Gecko control systems — in.k300, in.k506, and in.k1000?
Gecko is a leading manufacturer of hot tub control systems. The in.k300 (Value series) is a standard button-based control panel for temperature, jets, and lighting. The in.k506 (Great series) and in.k1000 (Extreme series) are touchscreen panels that provide a more intuitive interface for temperature programming, jet zone control, and lighting settings. The in.k1000 supports the dual-pump architecture of the Extreme series with independent zone controls not available on the in.k300 or in.k506.
What are volcano floor jets?
Volcano floor jets are upward-facing jets positioned in the footwell of the tub that push water upward against the soles of the feet and lower legs. Unlike standard directional jets positioned for the back, shoulders, or sides, volcano floor jets work from below. They are exclusive to the Extreme series on the Pioneer 5-person tub.
The Pioneer 5-Person Hot Tub packs 5-person capacity into a compact 6' x 7' footprint — two captain's chairs, three bench seats, and three series tiers that let you choose the jet count, pump setup, and control interface you need. 300 gallons, in 110V or 220V.
This hot tub is intended for recreational use and personal comfort. It is not a medical device, and no therapeutic or medical benefit is claimed or implied. Consult a physician before use if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or take medication that may be affected by heat or warm-water immersion.
