The Modway Convene 5-Piece Outdoor Sectional Set is a modular all-weather seating arrangement in resin wicker over an aluminum frame, with thick foam cushions in zippered, removable covers. At 58 lbs total, it is easy to reposition and reconfigure, and it comes in three cushion colors: Orange, Mocha, and Red.
Why Customers Choose This Product
- Resin wicker over an aluminum frame — the look of wicker with all-weather durability and a frame that will not rust
- Modular 5-piece configuration — arrange as an L-shape, U-shape, open corner, or linear run, and rearrange as the space changes
- Zippered, removable cushion covers — wash the covers independently of the foam inserts
- Thick foam cushions that hold their shape through repeated use
- Fade-resistant cushion fabric, UV-treated for sun exposure across seasons
- 58 lbs total — light enough to reposition for seasonal changes or storage without equipment
- Three cushion colors — Orange, Mocha, or Red — rather than a fixed colorway
Product Highlights
Resin Wicker vs. Natural Rattan
Resin wicker is a synthetic weave formed to replicate natural rattan. Unlike rattan, it is UV-stabilized and water-resistant, and it does not dry out, crack, or need seasonal oiling or weatherproofing. Clean it with a damp cloth or a hose rinse.
Choose Your Color
Orange is a warm, terracotta-adjacent accent that suits stone, concrete, and Mediterranean-leaning palettes (SKU EEI-2362-EXP-ORA-SET). Mocha is the neutral option, a warm mid-tone brown that reads tone-on-tone with the Espresso frame (SKU EEI-2366-EXP-MOC-SET). Red is the bold accent, with high contrast against the frame (SKU EEI-2201-EXP-RED-SET). Color changes the cushions only; the frame and construction are the same.
Modular 5-Piece Layout
The sectional pieces connect to form L-shape, U-shape, corner, or linear arrangements, and pieces can be added or removed as seating needs change. Contact us for the specific 5-piece breakdown — corner sections, armless sections, and any ottoman or table — before ordering so you can plan the layout.
Convene vs. Marina: Wicker vs. Teak
The Convene is a 5-piece modular resin wicker sectional at 58 lbs with three color options and no frame maintenance. The Marina is a fixed 10-piece solid plantation teak set at 434 lbs, with annual oiling if you maintain the honey-gold finish. The choice is material and permanence: lightweight and reconfigurable, or solid hardwood.

Important Information
Contact us for individual piece dimensions, the specific 5-piece breakdown, cushion fabric specifications, and assembly requirements before ordering.
Frame care: rinse with water or wipe with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt in the weave, use a soft brush with mild soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry. Do not pressure wash at close range.
Cushion care: unzip the covers and machine wash or hand wash with mild detergent; air dry completely before refitting over the foam, since damp covers over foam create mildew conditions. Store cushions indoors or in a weatherproof box during extended non-use and winter months.
The aluminum and resin wicker frame can remain outdoors year-round; a furniture cover during winter or extended non-use reduces debris in the weave.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Orange, Mocha, and Red colorways?
All three use the same resin wicker and aluminum frame and the same 5-piece modular structure; the color refers to the cushion fabric. Orange is a warm terracotta-adjacent accent, Mocha is a neutral warm brown that sits tone-on-tone with the Espresso frame, and Red is the boldest contrast option. The variant SKUs are EEI-2362-EXP-ORA-SET (Orange), EEI-2366-EXP-MOC-SET (Mocha), and EEI-2201-EXP-RED-SET (Red).
What are the 5 pieces included in this set?
Contact us for the specific Convene 5-piece configuration — which sections are armless, which are corner pieces, and whether an ottoman or coffee table is included — so you can plan the configuration for your space before ordering.
Is resin wicker as durable as natural rattan for outdoor use?
For outdoor use, resin wicker is the more durable and lower-maintenance choice. Natural rattan dries out, cracks, and degrades under prolonged UV and moisture exposure without regular treatment. Resin wicker is a UV-stabilized synthetic that does not dry out, crack from sun exposure, or absorb moisture, and the aluminum frame beneath it will not rust.
How does the Convene compare to the Marina 10-piece teak set?
They are different material categories. The Convene is a modular 5-piece resin wicker and aluminum sectional at 58 lbs and $2,456, with three cushion colors and no frame maintenance. The Marina is a fixed 10-piece solid plantation teak set at 434 lbs. Choose the Convene for lightweight modular flexibility; choose the Marina for solid hardwood. Contact us to discuss which suits your space.
The Convene is the all-weather wicker option: resin wicker, an aluminum frame, 58 lbs, and washable zippered cushions in your choice of three colors. Configure it to fit the space, wash the covers when needed, and skip the seasonal maintenance.
